KRITAVARMAA There is a character in Hindu mythology name
Kritavarmaa who has been stated as an incarnation of Maruts. In Mahaabhaarata,
he has been depicted as fighting on the evil side of Duryodhana. It is
supposed that whatever has been depicted in puraanic texts, that is for the
purpose of illustration of deep mysteries of vedic texts. What can be the
purpose behind Kritavarmaa, a word which does not appear directly in vedic
texts? As has been stated in context with KRITA, the best state of any event
is when it can take place only by wish, without performing any action for it.
But vedic texts state that it is not always possible. There is an event which
can take place by wish, which is termed as krita. Other events follow
this main one and become it’s protector or armour. This is called varma. The
mortal state can only become a supporting event.
